    Residual Life Prediction and Engineering Measures of Ultrahigh Pressure Tubular Reactor with Corrosion Defects

    • The corrosion rate of K10X in acetic acid was measured, the minimal allow thickness and the residual life were calculated. According to the FEA result which showed the thermal distribution, insulating layer was added to prevent acetic acid from condensing. The residual acid was swept by N2 at different flow velocities. The results indicated that the insulating layer can increase the metal temperature to prevent acetic acid from condensing; and the N2 sweeping velocity should be not less than 2 m/s, and the sweeping time should be longer than 30 mins.
