Corrosion Inhibition of Extractive from Dendrocalamus Latifcorus Munro Leaves for Cold Rolled Steel in Acid Solutions

    • Solid extractive from dendrocalmus latifcorus Munro leaves was investigated as an excellent environmental-friendly plant inhibitor. The inhibition effect of the plant extractive on cold rolled steel (CRS) in three mineral acids (1.0 mol/L HCl,1.0 mol/L H2SO4 and 1.0 mol/L H3PO4) was studied by weight loss method. The results showed that the inhibition efficiency of the extractive in three mineral acids for CRS was 92.3%(HCl),88.9%(H2SO4),75.8%(H3PO4) respectively. The adsorption of the plant inhibitor on the CRS surface followed the Langmuir adsorption isotherm equation.According to the experimental results, the inhibitive mechanism was discussed.
