  • The degree of sensitization(DOS) in 304L stainless steel was studied by electrochemical potentio-kinetic reactivation(EPR) test. DOS of specimens reduced as the time of solution treatment increased and increased with the time of the sensitizing treatment. Mixed solution of 1.0 mol/L H2SO4 and 0.01 mol/L KSCN is recommended as the testing solution 304L. EPR technique provides a sensitive, quantitative and nondestructive method for detecting the degrees of sensitization.
