Abstract
The corrosion behaviors of J55 steel in Cl-/HCO-3 solutions was studied and the effects of Cl-/HCO-3 concentration and corrosion time on some electrochemical parameters were analyzed by using potentiodynamic polarization measurements and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).The Cl- concentration not only accelerated the anodic reaction, but also affected the rate of cathodic reaction. The capacitance arc in different concentration NaCl solutions was contracted when the frequency was low. However, with the increase of the content of NaHCO3 in NaCl solution, anodic passivation was weakened and the radius of capacitance arc increased, the capability of the passive film on the surface of J55 steel was enhanced, and thus uniform corrosion resistance of J55 steel in NaCl/NaHCO3 solution increased.
