A METHOD TO DECREASE THE POROSITY OF THERMAL SPRAY COATING

It is inevitable for the thermal spray coating to avoid porosity due to the working principium of the thermal spray.When the coating is used to prevent corrosion,the corrosive medium will get to the surface of the base through the pores and result in invalid corrosion protection.Therefore,it is important for the coating to seal the porosity for the increase of the corrosion resistance.The ways to decrease the coating porosity are summarized.An expectation of the sealing technology and a new type of the sealing material,glaze,are presented.
