Corrosion Resistance of Zn-Al-Re Coating Prepared by Arc Spraying

An anti-corrosion Zn-Al-Re coating was prepared by the method of electric arc spraying. The salt spray test was used to accelerate the coatings corrosion. And the micro corrosion behavior and change law of Zn-Al-Re coating were investigated by SEM, XRD and electrochemical method. The results showed that the Zn-Al-Re coating was compact and well binded with the substrate. It was found that Zn-Al-Re coating generated relatively dense products after corrosion，which was useful to enhance the self-sealing function. The corrosion resistance of coating performed well.
