    Corrosion Inhibition of a Novel Schiff Base Acid Inhibitor on N80 Steel in Hydrochloric Acid Solution at Different Temperatures

    • The corrosion inhibition performance of a novel Schiff base acid inhibitor 1-phenyl-3-(1-aniline)-1-propene (PCP) on N80 steel in 15% HCl solution at different temperatures was studied by weight loss, potentio-dynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and SEM. The results showed that the PCP had excellent inhibition properties on N80 steel, and acted as a mixed-type inhibitor. Temperature had little effect on corrosion inhibition of PCP.
