    Organic Silicon Pore Sealing of Mechanical Coating Surface

    • An appropriate organic silicon pore sealing reagent was prepared.The anticorrosion properties of the coating modified by chromium passivation plus organic silicon pore sealing were investigated through the immersion test,neutral salt spray (NSS) test and electrochemical test.The NSS test showed that,the coating′s corrosion rate after organic silicon pore sealing treatment was 1/20 of the corrosion rate of zinc coating,1/4 of the corrosion rate of hexavalent chromium passivation coating.The polarization curves showed that the organic silicon pore sealing treatment could restrain the cathodic and anodic reactions effectively,and reduce the corrosion current density.Surface morphology and component analyses showed that the organic silicon pore sealing reagent had the good spreading and filming ability.
