    Corrosion Resistance of Three Coating Systems Studied by Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy

    • The corrosion resistance of three anti-corrosion coating systems including H06-4 zinc rich epoxy/H53-13 micaceous iron epoxy/acrylic polyurethane coating system,zinc rich epoxy/thick film gray micaceous iron epoxy/TB06-42 acrylic polyurethane coating system and epoxy anti-rust level priming/CE-46 epoxy/ acrylic polyurethane coating system was tested by the method of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) for the corrosion protection of some special equipment.The results indicated that the protective effect of all three coating systems was reduced with increasing immersion time.H06-4 zinc rich epoxy/H53-13 micaceous iron epoxy/acrylic polyurethane coating system had the best corrosion resistance and was selected as the anti-corrosion coating system for the equipment.
