Corrosion Behavior of Cu-Ni Alloy in 55%LiBr Solution with Different Inhibitor

Abstract
The effects of LiOH,Na2MoO4 and BTA on the corrosion behavior of Cu-Ni alloy in 55%LiBr solution was studied by EIS measurements.Results indicated that LiOH or BTA could decrease the corrosion rate of Cu-Ni alloy,but Na2MoO4 might increase the corrosion rate when its concentration was lower than a critical value.When LiOH,Na2MoO4 and BTA were used together,the inhibition efficiency on Cu-Ni alloy was higher than that when was used one of them.They behaved with a synergistic effect on inhibiting the corrosion of Cu-Ni alloy in 55%LiBr solution.When the concentration of LiOH,Na2MoO4 and BTA was 0.10 mol/L,150 mg/L and 150 mg/L,respectively,the inhibition efficiency on the corrosion of Cu-Ni alloy in 55%LiBr solution was optimal.
