Abstract
The tendency to intergranular corrosion (IGC) of the welded joints of 304 and 410S hot rolled stainless steel plates by TIG welding was tested by conventional method and electrochemical method. The results showed that the H2SO4-CuSO4 method and double electrochemical potentiokinetic reactivation ( DL-EPR) were appropriate for evaluating the tendency to IGC,and both were very coincident;Due to the bad erosion resistance of the base material of 410S,its tendency to IGC could not be evaluated by the H2SO4-CuSO4 method, but could be quantitatively and fast tested by EPR.The welded beam,heat-affected zone(HAZ) and base material of 410S had the tendency to IGC,and the IGC of HAZ near fusion-line was most serious.
