    Synthesis of Palmityl Amide and Its Inhibition Performance for Carbon Dioxide Corrosion

    • Synthesis of palmityl amide using palmitic acid and ethylenediamine as raw materials has been studied.The structure of product was characterized by IR and its thermal stabilization was tested by TG/DTA.Its inhibition performance for CO2 corrosion was studied by weight loss measurement and electrochemical measurement.The product had good thermal stability before 160 ℃,and the inhibition efficiency reached up to 83% for CO2 corrosion of X65 mild steel when the mass concentration of the inhibitor was 0.20 g/L.The results of polarization curves revealed that the product was an anodic type inhibitor for CO2 corrosion,and EIS showed that the inhibition was due to the blocking effect.
