    HIGH-TEMPERATURE OXIDATION PERFORMANCE OF 8mol% YSZ THIN FILM

    • A uniform,dense and defect-free 8mol%yttrium stabilized zirconia(YSZ) thin film was prepared on the surface of H13 steel by electro-deposition and sintering.The influence of this film on the isothermal oxidation behavior of H13 steel,which was exposed to ambient atmosphere at 700℃,was investigated.The surface-deposited 8mol%YSZ thin film increased the oxidation resistance of the H13 steel and improved the adhesion of the oxide scale to the substrate.The effects of the 8mol%YSZ thin film on the oxidation are discussed.
