    SIMULATION OF RESIDUAL STRENGTH OF CORRODED DEFECTING PIPELINE IN FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS

    • The rupture of corroded defects is the primary failure of pipelines.The finite element analysis method was mainly used to analyze and evaluate the corroded pipeline through building a entity model and considering the nonlinearity of geometry and the nonlinearity of material model.After simulating the different shapes and positions of corroded defects,the defect strength at different thicknesses was calculated.The relation of internal air pressure of pipeline,defect thickness and defect stress were obtained.This method can be used for the risk evaluation of corroded pipeline effectively.
