Abstract
An inhibitor was prepared by compound organic ingredients extracted from potato and banana skin.Thecorrosion inhibition on A3steel in 1 mol?L-1 HCl solution was investigated using weight-loss test,polarizationcurves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS).The extracted compound formula with the highestinhibition efficiency was determined.The results show that both single and compound extracts have corrosioninhibition effects.The inhibition efficiency increased with increasing the inhibitor concentration.The inhibitionefficiency in 1mol?L-1 HCl solution reached 93.9%,when the concentration of banana skin and potato extracts witha mass ratio of 2 was 7.5 mg·L-1.
