Abstract
Chromium fluoride activation process was applied to titanium alloy. The surface morphology, composition and structure of electroless nickle coating after chromium fluoride activation were analyzed by SEM, EDS and XRD. The adhesion of the coating with matrix was measured by coating adhesion automatic scratch tester. The results show that the adhesion of the coating with matrix after chromium fluoride activation was much higher than that of direct electroless plating, and the adhesion increased with the heat treatment temperature increase.
