Inhibition Behavior of Graphene Quantum Dots for Carbon Steel in HCl Solution

Abstract
Water-soluble graphene quantum dots (GQDs) were prepared by one-step electro-oxidation.The GQDs were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM),fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR),polarization curves (Tafel) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).The results showed that the GQDs exhibited good inhibition effect on carbon steel and acted as mixed-type inhibitors in 1 mol/L HCl solution.
