Abstract
Potentiodynamic polarization technique, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and weight loss methods were employed to study the effect of pH on the corrosion behavior of 1# and 2# hull steels in sea water. The experimental results showed that the corrosion potentials of 1# and 2# steels are a little higher at the pH of 9.5 in the pH scale of 6.5~9.5 , and their corrosion rates decreased almost linearly with increasing pH.
