CORROSION RESISTANCE AND ITS INFLUENCE FACTORS OF BIOMEDICAL TITANIUM ALLOY IN VIVO

Biomedical titanium alloys with excellent biocompatibility and fretting resistance are widely adopted for false teeth,stents and artificial heart valve,as their elasticity module approaches to that of body tissue.In this peper the factors influencing corrosion resistance are reviewed and the methods to enhance corrosion resistance of titanium alloy are summarized,finally the requirements for surface modification of titanium alloys are discussed.
