    Corrosion Resistance of Ti and Ti-Pd Alloy in Oxalic Acid Solution

    • The corrosion behaviors of Ti and Ti-0.2Pd alloy in oxalic acid solution were studied by means of electrochemical methods and immersion corrosion method, combined with SEM and XRD. The results showed that the corrosion product of Ti and Ti-Pd alloy in oxalic acid solution was TiH1.5. Under the experimental condition, the corrosion resistance of Ti-Pd alloy was a little better than that of Ti, but if the test time was longer, the temperature or concentration of oxalic acid solution was higher, the corrosion of Ti-Pd alloy would be serious. Equipment made by Ti and Ti-Pd alloy is not suitable to be used in oxalic acid medium.
