Analysis of Abnormal Damage of Ship Boiler Superheat-tubes

The phenomena of abnormal damage of boiler superheat-tubes in some ship are prevalent.The reason of abnormal corrosion was studied by means of survey and analysis of corrosion product.It was concluded that the corrosion damage was due to the high temperatme of tube walls,synergic action of oxygen and chloride in superheated vapor.Some proposals were put forward.
