    Corrosion Behavior of Reinforcing Steel HPB235 in Concrete Structure

    • The corrosion behavior of reinforcing steel HPB235 in concrete structure in 0.5% NaCl solution was investigated by corrosion rate measuring, corrosion morphology observation and corrosion scale analysis, and its mechanical properties were tested before and after corrosion. The results showed that the time increased from 240 h to 720 h, the corrosion rate increased and the corrosion became heavier and heavier, but the composition of corrosion scale was not changed obviously. After 720 h, the yield strength decreased by less than 5%, but the tensile strength and the elongation decreased by more than 10%.
