    Electrochemical Preparation and Characterization of Phenol Polymeric Film on Copper for Corrosion Protection

    • Phenol polymeric film was electrochemically deposited on the substrate of copper in a phenol-containing Na2CO3 solution using cyclic voltammetry.The synthesized polymeric film,which was brown,homogeneous and insulating,was characterized by means of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in carbonate medium and Tafel plot in 3% NaCl solution.The effects of various parameters on the anticorrosion performance of the film were investigated.The results showed that low phenol concentration,slow potential scan rate and increased scan circles were favorable for improving the anticorrosion properties of the film.
