Abstract
The low surface energy coating is prepared by adding synthesis of perfluorinated acrylic polymer into paint. The low surface energy coating is exposed in outdoor or ultraviolet lamp. The results show that the hydrophobic properties of perfluorinated acrylic acid esters of low surface energy materials become invalid rapidly. Infrared spectrometer and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy were used to study the failure law of low surface energy coating. The main reason of the failure is the oxidation of oxhydryl and other active group in the surface.
