SURFACE MODIFICATION AND ADHESIVE BONDING OF PTFE

The reasons of the difficulty for adhering to PTFE are analyzed.The methods of surface treatment in common use such as chemical treatment,high temperature melting,radiation grafting and plasma treatment at low temperature are introduced.The surface modifiers commonly used for PTFE and new adhesives with good bonding property to PTFE are also discussed.
