Abstract
The effect of Cl- on the corrosion resistance of 304 stainless steel in simulated circular cooling water at 60 ℃ was studied by means of in-situ electrochemical tests under constant strain condition and slow strain rate tests (SSRT).When Cl- concentration was below 600 mg/L,the pitting potentials evolved towards negative sharply and the pitting corrosion susceptibility increased with the increase of Cl- concentration; While above 600 mg/L,the pitting potentials shifted towards negative slowly and the stress corrosion cracking (SCC) susceptibility increased with the increase of Cl- concentration.
