Abstract
The effect of copper on the corrosion resistance of Cr-Mn stainless steel in H2SO4 was analyzed by means of weight-loss method, electrochemical polarization curves,SEM,EDS and XRD.The results showed that with the addition of copper, the stainless steel surface passivation film became dense, resulting in slowing down corrosion.Cu2+,as the main existing form of elememt copper, gathered on the surface and could restrain the dissolving activity of austenitic stainless steel and accelerate the formation of passivation film, and thus impove the capability of corrosion resistence effectively.
